Are you passionate about working with youth?Do you want to make a difference in young peoples lives?How about inspiring young people to take positive risks and make better choices?Want to spend your days organising and participating in fun activities like sport, gardening, art, music and games?If you answered yes to the above, then our Activities Coordinator position might be for you!Saltbush Social Enterprises is a not-for-profit organisation leading the way in providing responsive and outcome focused services particularly to disadvantaged and at-risk Indigenous people and their families. Through our Supported Bail Accommodation program, our overarching objective is to provide secure and supportive 24/7 accommodation services in Darwin as an alternative to remanding a young person in custody. As the Activities Coordinator it would be your job to design a full program plan of engaging, fun, and educational activities that are vital to assist young people to meet their bail conditions, improve their prospects of avoiding detention, and ultimately have a better life plan.This is an exciting role for a dynamic, passionate, upbeat and dedicated Activities Coordinator who is committed to providing opportunities for at-risk young people through the coordination and delivery of innovative youth programs for participants at our Supported Bail Accommodation.   You will have a natural ability to engage with youth, a positive attitude, thoroughly understand trauma informed care, and be committed to magnifying the voices of young people through creating environments that support positive outcomes. The Activities Coordinator is responsible for: the design, development and delivery/coordination of internal vocational, educational and recreational activities; coordination of all external service providers who deliver programs at the facility; and working closely with support staff to ensure all programs and activities are delivered as part of a comprehensive program plan. This role would ideally suit someone with a strong background in youth support services, training, coaching, or special education/support and inclusion learning. If you are progressive in your thinking, genuine and creative in your approaches and enjoy being challenged to think outside the box for the best outcomes, then you will be a great fit. This position will be required to participate in an on-call roster with the rest of the management team.Other essential requirements for this position: National Police Clearance  NT Working with Children (OCHRE) Card  NT Driver’s License Current First Aid Saltbush Social Enterprises is a proud Aboriginal owned organisation that actively supports diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
